  • Do you need to be of a certain fitness level to enter the Santa Fun Run?
    • No. It is a 5km fun run that anyone of any fitness level can enter. The route is an easy one through Sydney’s CBD, and one that is not designed to test runner’s endurance. You don’t even have to run, you could walk it if you like!
  • Is there an age restriction on who can enter?
    • No. The Santa Fun Run is open to people of all ages.
  • Are prams allowed in the Santa Fun Run?
    • Yes.
  • Are pets allowed in the Santa Fun Run?
    • Yes - pets are welcome to take part and even dress up in the Christmas spirit. Of course this also includes Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs.
  • Is it compulsory to wear a Santa suit? If I don’t wear one will I be allowed
    in the race?
    • Variety is encouraging all runners to get into the Christmas spirit and wear their Santa suits. We are hoping to have a sea of people in red running through the city. Should you forget yours on the day you will still of course be able to enter the race, but you should you win the race you will not be eligible for the winners prize or title. Every participant is required to wear an entrant number.
  • Do I have to fundraise? Or is entering the event enough?
    • As with all Variety events, we put the FUN into FUNdraising! We encourage you to either get your friends/co-workers to enter the Santa Run or those who are not up for the challenge to sponsor you. Find out more here.
  • Can someone who hasn’t entered just join in the run with me?
    • No. Only registered runners may run in the Santa Fun Run.
  • Can I form a team or bring along my friends/family?
    • Yes please, round up your family, friends, co-workers, classmates and the like. For team information, register here. Tell your friends/family who don’t want to participate to come down, support you and enjoy the food, drinks and entertainment.
  • Is there car parking?
    • Yes you can park at the Sydney Convention Centre in Tumbalong Park, however we recommend you take public transport. Visit transportinfo.com.au for more information.
  • Will there be water stations?
    • Yes there will be water stations at the start and finish of the race.
